Comments: An extremely belated fanart - this was meant for the December 2007 Aesthetic Tribute exhibition to mark the start of the new year of 2008... and it is now nearing the end of 2008!!! O.o Ack! (Mental note: New Year Resolution #1 [2009] - Always meet deadlines!) Anyway, this is my version of Magic Knight of Fire, Hikaru. The small flames created by her magic signify new beginnings for the start of the new year (technically 2008, hehe!). XD

Anyway I did try to draw a picture of a girl from a novel cover.. Hehe it was in 1994..still in secondary school XD but it turned out I can draw about 80% similar to the picture!! My I was so glad at that time!! Then I remembered my brother & uncle are very good in drawing people!! Too bad I didn't practise it anymore. Hehehe.. Life is funny! :D

And if you can replicate a drawing by 80%, that means you can totally draw! ;) Most of my earlier works were replicas, and then slowly I went and did my own characters and poses. The replicas helped me develop my drawing style and it still keeps changing!
If you ever decide to start drawing again, would love to see your works! :D And you keep up those cool scrapping LOs! ;D
